Beautifully bespoke. Distinctly British.
We are Original Handmade Kitchens.
With 25 years in the industry, we design, build and install truly bespoke, traditional British handmade kitchens for homes across the Home Counties, painted in any colour you desire.
Hardwood kitchens, solid oak dovetailed drawers and beautiful detailing throughout. Every kitchen is designed around the individual home rather than assembled from a list of standard, off-the-shelf components.
We cover Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, providing a personal approach to kitchen design, installation and refurbishment.
Quality kitchens with personal service.
Our clients appreciate the finer details.
They want a space that feels solid, looks beautiful and makes daily life simpler.
From unpacking the morning groceries to hosting family dinners, we create custom kitchens that perform beautifully under the pressure of real life. Whether you are planning a completely new kitchen or a kitchen refurbishment, the design starts with how you want the room to look, feel and work.
Operating entirely through free home design visits, we bring our expertise directly to your dining table.
No high-pressure showrooms. Just a calm, considered conversation about how you want to live and what you need from your kitchen.
For homeowners looking for handmade kitchens in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, this also means receiving personal service from a small, independent kitchen company rather than a franchise or chain.
From layout to lighting. We handle it all.
Most kitchen companies supply or fit the cabinets and leave you to coordinate the rest.
We do things differently. Our in-house team handles everything from the initial structural alterations and plastering to kitchen plumbing, heating, electrics, flooring and the final stroke of paint.
That means your kitchen design and installation can be considered as one complete project, rather than a collection of separate jobs. You get a single point of contact and a process that feels completely managed.
- Structural work: Structural walls can be moved or removed where required.
- Plumbing, heating and electrics: The services needed for your new kitchen can be coordinated as part of the wider project.
- Kitchen flooring and tiling: Professional tiling and flooring can be incorporated into the finished room.
- Lighting and decorating: Kitchen lighting, plastering, painting and decorating can all be planned around the design.
- Dedicated project management: One project manager oversees the work from start to finish.
Instead of having to organise separate suppliers, kitchen fitters and trades yourself, you have an experienced team looking after the wider kitchen renovation.
Built to a higher specification.
Truly bespoke, unlike many others you may find.
We build furniture using traditional British craftsmanship and heavy-duty materials. Our British-made kitchens are hand-built and quality checked at a workshop in Yorkshire before they make their way to their final home.
Our doors and drawer fronts are a full 28 mm thick, crafted from solid tulipwood to ensure a smooth, durable painted finish. Inside, you will find robust construction and carefully considered details designed for everyday use.
- Solid tulipwood: Frames, doors and drawer fronts are made using solid tulipwood, with doors and fronts a substantial 28 mm thick.
- Solid dovetailed drawers: Drawer boxes use traditional dovetailed joints, combining solid construction with traditional craftsmanship.
- Soft-closing runners: Drawer runners feature soft closing and are guaranteed for life.
- Premium Egger carcasses: Robust carcasses are complemented by stainless-steel sink liners.
- Invisible magnetic closers: Magnetic door closers with damping buffers keep the cabinetry clean and considered.
- Bespoke painted finishes: Your kitchen can be painted in any bespoke colour you choose.
From solid oak details and hardwood furniture to the final painted finish, these are kitchens made with attention to what you can see and what you cannot.
